Besides being a renowned author, JJ Zerr is, first and foremost, a husband and father who had proudly served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Despite the demands of his profession, he managed to find time to nurture a family, fathering six children. However, as he embarked on his deployments, he entrusted the care of his children to his wife, Karen. They navigated the challenges of parenthood, from changing diapers to guiding their children through the tumultuous stages of puberty. Zerr’s dedication to both his country and his family is truly commendable. The author’s illustrious career in the Navy culminated in an honorable retirement as a distinguished Rear Admiral in 1995. Following an illustrious active duty, the author seamlessly transitioned into working on a multitude of groundbreaking defense programs from the civil side, ultimately culminating in a well-deserved retirement in 2007 from this second career.
